St. Andrews is an historic city situated in the Kingdom of Fife on the east coast of Scotland. Renowned as the home of golf, the town now boasts 5 golf courses in addition to the famous “Old Course”. There are a further 8 Championship courses in the North Fife area.

The area is a golfer’s paradise, but the city has many other attractions. It is steeped in history, with the ruins of its medieval castle overlooking the sea and its majestic cathedral. Scotland’s first university was founded here in the 15th century and flourishes today whilst maintaining many of its old traditions.

St Andrews is also a seaside town with miles of golden sand and fine beaches. There are plenty of activities and events throughout the year such as the annual Lammas Fair, University Pageants and Highland games, sporting activities such as tennis, cycling, swimming and angling, plus a theatre and museum.

St Andrews is an ideal base for exploring the Kingdom of Fife with its wealth of castles and other historic sites, picturesque villages and beautiful countryside.
